LIMA, Ohio The Allen County Board of Elections yesterday rejected nominating petitions filed by a Lima woman who wanted to run for mayor.
Beverly Snyder filed petitions containing 42 fewer valid signatures than the 200 that were needed.
She turned in 73 additional signatures on two petitions by yesterday s deadline, but Keith Cunningham, elections director, said that the board disqualified her because she did not properly complete one of the forms and the other did not contain enough signatures.
Mayor David Berger and two challengers will be on the May primary ballot for the nonpartisan race.
