WEST CHESTER, Ohio — Ohio Gov. John Kasich will give the weekly Republican national address this Saturday.
House Speaker John Boehner's office announced Thursday that the former congressman and House budget committee member will discuss how his administration has tackled Ohio's budget shortfall. The office says the first-year Ohio governor will also promote tough fiscal choices for Washington.
Boehner, of West Chester in southwest Ohio, says in a statement that Washington could "learn a thing or two from Ohio."
Last Saturday, President Barack Obama used his weekly address to speak against partisan gridlock and call for more compromise. Pennsylvania Republican Sen. Pat Toomey spoke for Republicans, saying Obama's policies aren't working and that there needs to be less government regulation.
