Teamsters president to attend rally

Jim Hoffa, general president of the national Teamsters union, will join opponents of Issue 2 at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Teamsters Local 20 headquarters at 435 South Hawley St.

The event is a rally organized by “We are Ohio,” a group that supports the repeal of Senate Bill 5, legislation that curbs the collective bargaining powers of Ohio’s public employee unions.

Event organizers anticipate thousands of Issue 2 opponents will attend the event.
