Hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons will appear Saturday at Scott High School with U.S. Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D., Cleveland).
Mr. Kucinich squares off Tuesday in Ohio's primary election against U.S. Rep. Marcy Kaptur (D., Toledo), and Cleveland entrepreneur Graham Veysey for the 9th Congressional District Democratic nomination.
Mr. Simmons, a co-founder of the seminal hip-hop record label Def Jam, will appear at a noon event in the high school's fieldhouse.
"We can't afford to lose Dennis, because he is the voice of Main Street Americans and progressive politics," Mr. Simmons said in a statement.
Doors to the fieldhouse open at 11:15 a.m. The free event is open to the public.
