Obama making Friday campaign stops in Springfield, Lima

President Obama's campaign has released the details of his stop in Lima on Friday.

The president is scheduled to deliver remarks at a grassroots event in the Lima Senior High School gymnasium. Doors open at 1:30 p.m., the campaign reported late today.

The event is free and open to the public, but tickets are required. One ticket per person will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Tickets can be obtained starting at 10 a.m., Wednesday, at the following locations:

OFA-Ohio Lima Field Office, 226 N Main St., Lima; The Lima Democratic Party Headquarters, 2115 Northwest St., Lima; the OFA-Ohio Findlay Field Office, 1041 N Main St., Findlay, and the OFA-Ohio Wapakoneta Field Office, 101 West Auglaize St. in Wapakoneta, Ohio.

Earlier in the day, Mr. Obama will speak at an event in Springfield. Doors open at the Springfield High School event in Clark County at 10:15 a.m.

The president's campaign schedule is coming back into focus after he took off much of this week from campaigning to monitor the hurricane emergency.

The campaign canceled plans for Mr. Obama to campaign in Ohio on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

Republican nominee Mitt Romney canceled a rally that was planned today in Elida in Allen County and turned a planned Dayton-area rally into an event to encourage storm relief.
