It may be the offseason, but it's still time to make a deal.
The Toledo Walleye have acquired the rights to forward Colin Martin from the Utah Grizzlies and sent the rights to defenseman Nolan Zajac to the Wichita Thunder.
Martin’s rights complete a trade that was made between Toledo and Utah on Nov. 14, 2016 that sent forward Erik Bradford to the Grizzlies. The forward completed his first professional season with 22 goals, 11 assists, and 43 penalty minutes.
Sending Zajac’s rights to Wichita completes Toledo’s trade that netted the Walleye defenseman Landon Oslanski in March of this season. Zajac appeared in 61 games for the Walleye during his first pro season with 11 goals, 43 assists, 54 points and a plus 31. The 24-year-old appeared in the 2017 ECHL All-Star Game.
