The Providence Township house for sale this summer, made more attractive because the owner threw in his Corvette to find a buyer, has been sold for $365,000, according the Lucas County auditor s office.
Janessa Belville bought the house of Robert and Sandra Richard at 7708 Yawberg Rd., in a deal recorded last week. When the 2,960-square-foot house was slow to sell, the Richards first lowered the price by $50,000 to $439,000 and then offered a $10,000 bounty to any real estate agent who could sell it in 30 days.
Two months ago, Mr. Richard threw in his 1999 Chevrolet Corvette convertible, worth $24,000, to sweeten the deal for the five-acre property near Whitehouse. The Richards bought the property for $415,000 in August, 2005, and wanted to sell so they could move to Colorado.
