Foreclosure-related filings rose in Lucas County and in Ohio from a year ago, but were down nationally and in Michigan, a new report shows.
Filings for default and auction notices as well as bank repossessions climbed 2 percent to 692 in Lucas County from a year ago and were up 19 percent to 13,479 in Ohio last month from a year ago, while such filings were down 5 percent nationally and 8 percent in Michigan, a report released Thursday by RealtyTrac Inc. shows.
The report said 338,836 properties nationwide had foreclosure-related filings last month, or one for every 381 housing units. In Lucas County, there was one such filing for every 295 housing units.
