Toledo-area foreclosure activity up 11% from last year
Home foreclosure activity in the four-county Toledo area was about 11 percent higher in May than a year ago, according to a report released today.
One in every 377 housing units locally had received a notice of default or had been foreclosed and repurchased by a bank, according to the report by California-based RealtyTrac.
Such filings increased by 19 percent in Lucas County and 4 percent in Fulton County. They were down 36 percent in Ottawa County and 26 percent in Wood County. Nationally, foreclosure filings were down about 4 percent.
