Average sales price for Toledo-area homes down 1.9%

Sales prices for Toledo-area homes were down 1.9% in July from a year earlier, according to statistics provided by the state’s Multiple Listing Services.

The average price last month was $110,529, as compared with $112,669 in July, 2011.

The number of sales was up 3.9%, from 635 to 660.

Statewide, home sales were up 13.4% and the average price was up 4.9 percent.

For the first seven months of 2012, home sales in the Toledo area were up 12.2% from last year. The average sales price was up 2 percent, from $95,295 to $97,153.
