There were 256 foreclosure-related filings on Lucas County properties last month, down 45 percent from a year earlier, according to RealtyTrac.
The California-based company’s numbers include default notices, scheduled actions, and bank repossessions. Not all the homes counted by RealtyTrac will end up in court foreclosure proceedings.
For the four-county Toledo metro area, filings were down almost 40 percent. They were down 46 percent (from 24 to 13) in Fulton County, up 26 percent (from 62 to 78) in Wood County, and up 33 percent (from 15 to 20) in Ottawa County.
In Ohio, filings were up less than 1 percent. In Michigan, they were down 58 percent.
Nationally, foreclosure-related filings were down 7 percent.
