The six-week Fall Lecture Series at Corpus Christi University Parish, focusing on the theme of Forgiveness, Peacemaking, and Reconciliation, will continue Tuesday with a talk by the Rev. Robert Schreiter.
Father Schreiter, of Chicago s Catholic Theological Union, will discuss divisions in Catholicism in his talk, Reconciliation: The Possibilities in a Polarized Church.
The Rev. Jim Bacik, pastor of Corpus Christi, opened the series with a lecture titled, Forgiveness as a Catalyst for Spiritual Development.
The series continues with Sister Helen Prejean, author of Dead Man Walking, on Oct. 11; Sister Shannon Schrein on Oct. 18; Stephen Pope of Boston College on Oct. 25, and Michael Baxter of Notre Dame on Nov. 1.
All lectures are at 5:30 p.m. in Corpus Christi University Parish, 2955 Dorr St. Tickets are $10 for individual lectures or $30 for the series, available from the church, 419-531-4992.
