MONROE The fifth annual Monroe Area-Wide Tent Revival will feature services at 7 p.m. nightly and 10:30 a.m. on Sundays through Aug. 19 at the Old Detroit Stoker Parking Lot on Front Street, across from Hellenberg Park.
Organizers describe the revival is a multi-denominational, multi-ethnic event designed to enhance unity among local congregations.
The Rev. Frank Turner, former Detroit television news anchor, will be the main speaker tonight. Other speakers scheduled to speak during the revival include the Rev. Tony Scott of Toledo s Cathedral of Praise; Baldemar Velasquez of the Farm Labor Organizing Committee; the Rev. Parcy McCray of the Cancer Treatment Centers of America, and Dr. Helen Brown of Trinity Faith Tabernacle.
