COLUMBUS - An interfaith symposium on climate change will be held here Saturday with University of Toledo Professor Al Compaan as one of the featured speakers.
The symposium is the first public event being presented by Ohio Interfaith Power and Light, a statewide religious organization now being formed.
It seeks to mobilize a religious response to climate change and promote energy conservation among people of faith.
The Rev. Sally Bingham, founder and president of the Regeneration Project, will be the keynote speaker.
Also speaking will be the Rev. Rebecca Tollefson, executive director of the Ohio Council of Churches, and David Wilhelm, founder of Adena Ventures.
The symposium will be from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Broad Street Presbyterian Church in Columbus. Admission is free; an offering will be taken. More information is available online at http://ohipl.blogspot.com.
