Local Catholic radio station increases output
Starting Sept. 1, Toledo's only Catholic radio station will boost its programming from two to five hours per week.
Annunciation Radio first went on the air in February with a two-hour show broadcast from noon to 2 p.m. Sundays on WTOD-AM (1560).
The new schedule will feature one hour of Catholic programming weekdays from noon to 1 p.m. on WTOD. Nationally known radio hosts will include the Rev. Benedict Groeschel, Rosalind Moss, the Rev. John Corapi, and the Rev. Frank Pavone.
Annuncation Radio also plans to produce and broadcast original programming that will be linked to the liturgical year or to major events in the Toledo Catholic Diocese, according to Deacon Michael Learned, station president.
The station's long-term goal is to have its own signal and facilities. More information is available online at www.annunciationradio.com or by calling Deacon Learned at 419-754-1009.
