Evangelical Christian author Donald Miller and former U.S. Rep. Tim Roemer of Indiana will lead public forums in northwest Ohio today and tomorrow to discuss Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama's positions on faith issues.

Mr. Roemer, a former Democratic congressman and a Roman Catholic known for his pro-life stance, will be speaking at 8 a.m. today at Scrambler Marie's restaurant, 3344 Secor Rd.

Mr. Miller, author of the best-selling book Blue Like Jazz, will be making the rounds of Ohio college campuses, including the University of Toledo at 1:30 p.m. tomorrow in Student Union Room 2579 at the main campus, 2801 West Bancroft St.

Mr. Miller, who has described his writings on Christianity as "an explanation for beauty, meaning, and the human struggle," also will speak tomorrow at Heidelberg College in Tiffin at 11 a.m. and at Bob's Place at Bluffton University at 5 p.m.

The Ohio talks by Mr. Roemer and Mr. Miller are part of the Barack Obama: Faith, Family & Values Tour, which is sponsored by Obama for America.
