The 2009 Lourdes College Ecumenical Lecture will be given at 3 p.m. tomorrow by the Rev. Julian Hills, associate professor of theology at Marquette University, in the college s Franciscan Center, Conference Rooms A and B.
Mr. Hills will speak on Christ the First Fruits: St. Paul s Ecumenical Vision, following Pope Benedict XVI s declaration of the Year of St. Paul starting June, 2008, to June, 2009, to celebrate the 2,000th anniversary of the apostle s birth.
The lecture, free and open to the public, will look at what St. Paul might say about today s denominational diversity and western tolerance of religious pluralism.
