Rev. Giffin to lead ministry office for west Ohio Methodists

WORTHINGTON, Ohio Bishop Bruce Ough has announced the appointment of Rev. Wade Giffin, of Hilliard, Ohio, as director of the Office of Ministry for the West Ohio Conference of the United Methodist Church.

Mr. Giffin will succeed the Rev. Cean Wilson when he takes office July 1. Ms. Wilson is retiring Sept. 30 after 11 years of service.

As director of the Office of Ministry, Mr. Giffin will work with the United Methodist conference s board of ordained ministry and its episcopal office to enlist and credential new clergy leaders.

The West Ohio Conference has nearly 1,200 congregations, community centers, camps, and retreat centers as well as almost 1,600 active and retired clergy in 58 counties.
