Social justice education available to parishes

The Toledo diocese's Catholic Charities and Our Lady of the Pines Retreat Center in Fremont have signed a contract for providing social justice education to parishes and organizations throughout the 19-county diocese.

Sister Christine Pratt, an Ursuline nun and executive director of the retreat center, will be the presenter of the Social Justice Education programs.

Examples of the presentations to be presented include “What does the church say about social justice?”, “The Gospel and Catholic social teaching,” and “From field to table: the search for justice in the food system.”

More information is available by calling Catholic Charities, 419-244-6711 ext. 401.
