Alexis Congregational Church will celebrate its 125th anniversary Sunday.
The Rev. Garry Hulisz, pastor, said the celebration will begin with a trolley ride from Hopewell Gift Shop, owned by a church member, to the church, 6202 North Detroit Ave., for its regular 9:30 a.m. service.
At noon, an invitation-only luncheon will be held in the fellowship hall. The public is invited to a 1 p.m. celebration in the sanctuary featuring speakers, music, and a 10-minute video on the church's history.
The celebration will conclude with an outdoor party from 2 to 4 p.m. with live music, karaoke, games, and more.
