Coach Bowden to speak at Lima university

LIMA — College Football Hall of Fame honoree Bobby Bowden is to speak at a dinner Thursday at 7 p.m. at the University of Northwestern Ohio Event Center.

Mr. Bowden, 83, the second-winningest coach in major college football, guided Florida State University to two national titles and was inducted into the hall of fame in 2006. In 2004, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes presented the first of what is now a yearly award in his name, the National Bobby Bowden Award.
