Tuesday is the 40th anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court’s Roe vs. Wade decision legalizing abortion in the United States.
Members of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Toledo will mark that anniversary in protest. Northwest Ohio parish and youth groups will travel to Washington to take part in a March for Life on Wednesday.
Rosary Cathedral in Toledo will hold a Mass at 6 p.m. today, then go to the Ashland Avenue Baptist Church and walk to the Toledo Center for Choice, where marchers will recite two Rosaries.
In Maumee, the St. Joseph Knights of Columbus will hold a prayer service and march at 2 p.m. Tuesday. The walk starts at St. Joseph Catholic Parish, 104 W. Broadway, and ends at St. Joseph Cemetery.
