One Night in Monroe

More than 15 multi-denominational churches in Monroe County come together for joint worship on Saturday. One Night is a first-time event that organizers hope to continue annually and to supplement with other gatherings throughout the year.

One Night aims to be a “visible expression of unity between denominations, ethnicities, and generations,” in line with what John described in Revelation 7:9-10 as “a great multitude before the throne worshiping the Lamb of God.” Worship will be led in English and in Spanish, with interpretation for the hearing impaired.

One Night begins at 6 p.m. at the MBT Expo Center, 3775 S. Custer Rd., Monroe. There is no cost to attend; registration is optional. For more information, go to onenightmonroe.com.

John Kasich’s Office of Faith-based and Community Initiatives.

The Tabernacle is at 531 Pinewood Ave. For more information, call 937-285-6185.

Shoppers who purchase a $10 “Simply Give” donation card at checkout will support Helping Hands of St. Louis, a ministry through Catholic Charities Diocese of Toledo that, in part, provides a food pantry and hot-meal program to hungry families.

Meijer is additionally set to donate $1 million to its 2018 Simply Give program, which will be dispersed after the campaign ends.
