CINCINNATI Responding to a move last month by Wal-Mart Stores Inc., Kroger Co. has expanded its discount on generic drugs, offering 90-day prescriptions for $10.
Kroger said the program is available in all 1,900 in-store pharmacies. Last fall Kroger and other retail chains began offering more than 300 generic drugs for $4 a prescription.
The drugs offered in Kroger s new program include generics to treat breast cancer and osteoporosis.
