Perrysburg plans to widen Roachton Road from Fort Meigs Road to State Rt. 25 to accommodate traffic, which has doubled since 1999.
Council approved a $213,945 engineering services contract with Proudfoot Associates.
City engineer Doug Dariano said that the high school and Levis Commons have increased traffic on the road, which has been designated as an urban collector by the federal government. The city is eligible for $2.16 million in federal funds.
He said construction could begin in July, 2008.
