Scholarships

Jordan Bradish of Toledo, a senior at Toledo Christian School, has been named an Evans Scholar. The scholarship, which pays about $16,000 each year, covers college tuition, room, and board.

The Evans Scholars program is administered by the Western Golf Association. To be eligible, candidates must have high academic achievement, a strong caddie record, and outstanding character. Jordan plans to attend Ohio State University.

Joshua Barnes of Sylvania, a senior at Northview High School and member of the National Honor Society, has been awarded an Evans Scholarship of $12,000 from Ohio State University. The scholarship is renewable for four years.

The following area students have been awarded scholarships valued at $1,000 or more from the Owens Community College Foundation.

50 Men and Women Scholarship: Brittany Sparks of Toledo, $3,000. James A. Adams Memorial Scholarship: Summer Repass of Toledo, $1,000. George D. Allesee Memorial Scholarship: Laurence Swan of Holland, $1,000. Alumni Legacy Scholarship: Judi DePeal of Walbridge and Lindsey Przeniczny of Lambertville, Mich., both received $1,400.

Auto Dealers United for Kids Scholarship: Dennis Addy of Perrysburg, Alex Aston of Oregon, Shawn Brokaw of West Unity, Shane Clark of Toledo, Kevin Donna of Bowling Green, Dustin Hamilton of Archbold, John Hessey of Toledo, Chad Leidy of Millbury, Ryan Prince of Perrysburg, Zackary Ritz of Toledo, Benedikt Sartor of Toledo, Charles Thorsby of Toledo, and Dane Welling of Lambertville, Mich., each received $1,000.

Caterpillar Foundation Scholarship: Brian Williams and Daniel Wise of Toledo both received $2,500.

Central West Area Council Scholarship: Valerie McCampbell of Toledo, $1,000. Charles Carr Rotary Club of Maumee Scholarship: Luke Wentz of Findlay, $1,000. Chuck Holsclaw Memorial Scholarship: Suzanne Pinson of Woodville, $1,000.

Health Technologies Scholarship: Viktoryia Maximovich of Maumee, Nicole Schultt of Toledo and Julie Warnecke of Monclova each received $1,000, and Julie McNamee of Perrysburg received $1,500. Ohio Space Grant Consortium Scholarship: Rhonda DePuy of Findlay, $1,000.

Owens Community College-Findlay Campus Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) Scholarship: Amy Flores and Margaret Kingery of Findlay both received $1,000.

Perrysburg Rotary Service Foundation (STRIVE) Scholarship: Maria Dunn of Curtice, $1,000.

President Daniel H. Brown Scholarship: Mohamed Bangura of Findlay, Jennifer Gocsik of Toledo, Rhonda DePuy of Findlay and Nina Strickland of Bowling Green each received $1,000.

Sylvania Rotary Service Foundation (STRIVE) Scholarship: Jacob Butler of Toledo, $1,000. Toledo Automobile Dealers Association Scholarship: Anthony Potter and Daniel Wise of Toledo both received $1,000.
