School, arts center receive ‘gold' award
The year-old Bowling Green Middle School and Performing Arts Center has been awarded “LEED Gold” by the U.S. Green Building Council.
LEED — Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design — is a rating system for designing and constructing energy-efficient, high-performing buildings.
Maumee-based Buehrer Group Architecture & Engineering designed the new school at 1079 Fairview Ave. and adjacent performing arts center
Features include a light-colored roof, highly efficient water fixtures, appliances, and heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning equipment.
