Civil War re-enactor to be at Way Library

The Perrysburg Area Historic Museum in conjunction with the Wood County Civil War Sesquicentennial Celebration will present Civil War historian and re-enactor Neil Buttermore as “A Veteran Remembers Gettysburg” at 7 p.m. April 19 in the Perrysburg Way Library.

He will portray a colonel in the 1st Ohio Cavalry that participated in the battle of Gettysburg on July 1-3, 1863. Mr. Buttermore is the proprietor of Ancient of Days Antiques, at 2505 Broadway in Toledo.

During the April 19 event, a brief business meeting will be held to update the audience on the renovation and preservation of the Spafford Home on West River Road owned by the Perrysburg Area Historic Museum.
