Whitehouse marks Earth Day with recycling
Earth Day will be celebrated with the second annual recycling event from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 30 in the Village Park at Providence Street and the Wabash Cannonball Trial.
Residents can drop off electronics, textiles, hazardous household liquids, paint, and batteries. To dispose of old tires, residents will be charged. The fee for car tires is $4, semi truck tires, $8, and tractor tires for $12. Those fees reflect the cost for the village to dispose of the tires.
Master Gardeners will be on hand with information on how to construct a rain garden and other rain collection products. Employees from Ohio Compost will provide mulching and composting demonstrations along with information on worm composting.
