Grants for the removal of trees harmed by the emerald ash borer are available through the WSOS community action group.
Wood County residents, including residents of Perrysburg and Perrysburg Township, are among those who can apply for up to 40 percent of the cost of removing two ash trees from their private residential properties.
An application for funding and bids from three companies that employ ISA-certified arborists must be submitted.
Forms and eligibility requirements are available online at www.wsos.org. Applications can be mailed to WSOS Community Action Commission, Attn: Cindy Brookes, 219 S. Front Street, P. O. Box 590, Fremont, OH 43420.
