Taft reappoints Toledo, Fulton residents to state positions

COLUMBUS - Gov. Bob Taft yesterday reappointed Fulton County Recorder Sandy Barber to the state Lottery Commission.

Ms. Barber has served on the commission since 1991. Her new term runs to Aug. 1, 2005. Members are paid $5,000 a year plus expenses.

Mr. Taft also reappointed Richard Gale Johnson of Toledo to the state Board of Building Standards for a term that ends Oct. 13, 2006. Mr. Johnson is a mechanical engineer for JDRM Engineering.

Members of the board, which adopts standards and regulations on construction, maintenance, and repair of buildings, receive $20.90 an hour plus expenses.
