Customer stabs Saline Michigan restaurant worker, kills self

ASSOCIATED PRESS

SALINE, Mich. Authorities say a customer argued with a Saline restaurant employee before stabbing him, going home and then apparently committing suicide.

Police were dispatched Tuesday night to the Ruby Tuesday restaurant and found 28-year-old Ryan J. Lewis with a stab wound in his abdomen.

Police Chief Paul Bunten tells The Ann Arbor News that Lewis was taken to St. Joseph Mercy Hospital with injuries that did not appear to be life-threatening.

Officers with a search warrant found the body of 23-year-old Jeremiah Rubenacker early Wednesday inside his apartment in Washtenaw County's Pittsfield Township. Bunten says Rubenacker apparently shot himself in the head.

Lewis told police that Rubenacker was a regular customer of the eatery.
