CINCINNATI A Cincinnati woman says she won tickets to the Michael Jackson memorial service but can t afford to go to Los Angeles.
Christine White says she got the e-mail Saturday night telling her she was among the 8,750 lottery winners from the 1.6 million people who applied online for tickets to Tuesday s public memorial at the Staples Center.
White says she s been offered cash and iPods but probably will hang on to the ticket vouchers as a keepsake.
Ticket winners had to present a unique code to exchange their vouchers for tickets at Dodger Stadium and to receive a wristband required for admission to the memorial. Winners were permitted to give away their second ticket.
