Bodies of Ohio man, adult daughter found in rural home

Authorities suspect double homicide

FORT RECOVERY, Ohio — Authorities in rural western Ohio say a man and his adult daughter have been found dead in a ransacked home.

Mercer County Sheriff Jeff Grey says in a statement that investigators believe Robert Grube (GROO'-bee) and Colleen Grube were killed Tuesday night or early Wednesday, in a case being treated as a double homicide. The cause of the deaths has not been determined.

WHIO-TV reports the father was in his early 70's and the daughter was in her 40s.

Grey told the television station a relative who was expecting Colleen Grube to babysit went to the home in Fort Recovery, discovered the bodies and found things in disarray.

The sheriff planned to release more details on Thursday.
