Tressel sells Upper Arlington home
Son of auto dealer Bobby Layman confirms sale
COLUMBUS -- Former Ohio State University football coach Jim Tressel has sold his Upper Arlington home to Bobby Layman, the auto dealer’s son confirmed Tuesday.
“My parents did buy Jim and Ellen's house,” said Jeff Layman. “The deal is closed. They plan to move into the house. ... My mom's very happy; she likes the house.”
Layman said the Tressels are still in the house, but “There's no rush to move on my parents' behalf.”
The Tressels bought the house at 2777 McCoy Rd. in Upper Arlington for $1.38 million in 2003, according to the Franklin County auditor’s site.
