Murder suspected in death of 5-year-old Ohio girl found in garage

HILLSBORO, Ohio — Sheriff's deputies in southern Ohio are investigating the suspected murder of a 5-year-old girl.

Media reports said deputies responded to a home in Jackson Township and found the girl dead in the garage just after noon Sunday. Authorities were holding a 38-year-old man.

The home is in Highland County, about 65 miles east of Cincinnati.

The Montgomery County Coroner's Office in Dayton was to perform an autopsy. The sheriff's department was expected to release more information Monday.
