Man perishes in Celina fire
Firefighters unable to save man from mobile home blaze
CELINA, Ohio — Firefighters say intense flames and smoke kept them from saving a man who perished in a mobile home fire in western Ohio.
WHIO-TV says it happened Tuesday night in Celina, about 80 miles north of Dayton.
Celina Fire Chief Doug Wolters said heavy flames were visible from both the front and back of the residence when firefighters arrived at about 8 p.m. Tuesday.
The victim — whose name hasn't been released yet — was found in the burned out home after the fire was extinguished.
The state fire marshal is investigating.
