April job postings fall to fewest in 5 months
WASHINGTON -- Employers in April posted the fewest job openings in five months, the Labor Department reported Tuesday. It said job openings fell to a seasonally adjusted 3.4 million in April from 3.7 million in March.
Openings have risen by almost a third since the recession ended in June, 2009. But they are still below prerecession levels of about 5 million a month.
