NEW YORK — Owens Corning stock closed at a 52-week high Thursday after more positive news about the housing industry.
OC closed up 84 cents, 2.1 percent, at $40.07. The stock traded at about $26 a share as recently as early August.
The government reported Thursday that in December, U.S. builders began work on homes at the fastest pace in 4 ½ years. Toledo-based Owens Corning makes such building supplies as insulation and roofing.
