WLEN-FM 103.9, an adult contemporary station broadcasting from Adrian, Mich., was named Small Market Station of the Year at the 2011 National Association of Broadcasters’ Marconi Radio Awards. The awards were announced Thursday night at the annual NAB Marconi Radio Awards Dinner and Show during the Radio Show in Chicago.
The awards recognize radio’s outstanding personalities and stations in 21 categories. Marconi finalists were selected by a group of broadcasters, and the winners were voted on by the NAB Marconi Radio Awards Selection Academy.
WLEN was previously honored by the NAB in 2004 as Adult Contemporary Station of the Year and was named the Michigan Association of Broadcasters Station of the Year for Market 3 Radio in 2002, 2003, 2005, and 2006.
