University of Toledo senior Brad Heaven has been named one of five finalists for the Byron Nelson Award, presented by Cleveland Golf, the Golf Coaches Association of America announced.
The other finalists are California s Scott Carlyle and Peter Tomasulo, Florida s Camilo VilLegas, and Navy s Billy Hurley.
The recipient of the award will be named later this month.
Heaven will lead the Rockets into the NCAA West Regional this weekend after being named MAC golfer of the year for the third time and winning conference medal honors. An All-MAC first-team performer for four years, Heaven has claimed seven tournament titles in his career, three this season.
Following its second MAC championship in three years, Toledo heads to Sunriver, Ore., for the NCAA West Regional (today through Saturday) as the No. 12 seed.
