Seniors Joe Roberts, Todd Thomas and Joel Visser and juniors Scott Boley and Jake Swint have been named to the 2007 Academic All-Mid-American Conference baseball team. Roberts and Boley are two-time selections to the squad, while Thomas, Visser and Swint are fi rst-timers.

A total of 19 student-athletes were named to the team.

To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport. First-year students and junior college transfers in their fi rst year of residence are not eligible for the award.

Toledo and Eastern Michigan each had fi ve student-athletes honored on this year s team to lead the conference.

The Rockets wrapped up their season with a 26-28 overall record, 14-13 in the MAC, and earned a berth in the league tournament for the fi rst time since 1999. The 14 league victories is the sixth-most conference triumphs in school history.
