The Rockets' five-game losing streak is the longest since they lost six straight in the 1999-2000 season. UT has two more games on the road before its next home game Dec. 8 against Drexel. Junior forward Sam Young leads Pitt with 18.2 points and 8.5 rebounds per game. Freshman center DeJuan Blair adds 10 points and eight rebounds. UT has beaten two ranked teams under Stan Joplin - No. 18 Cincinnati in 2000 and No. 14 Michigan State in 2002.
