Jonathan Amos is the second consecutive University of Toledo basketball player to garner recognition as the MAC West player of the week.
Amos, a senior guard, averaged 23.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 3.5 steals for the week while shooting 51.4 percent (19-of-37) from the field. He also moved into third place on the Rockets' career steals list with three steals against Dayton on Friday and has 208 for his career.
Amos, who was named the MAC West's top weekly player for the first time, followed Justin Anyijong in being recognized by the league. The Rockets (2-11) are in action Tuesday at home against Rhode Island.
