St. John's Norrils commits to UT

St. John's Jesuit wide receiver/defensive back Cheatham Norrils gave University of Toledo coach Tim Beckman a verbal commitment Thursday night to continue his career with the Rockets, The Blade has learned.

An All-Ohio first-team selection and The Blade's 2010 player of the year, Norrils (5-11, 175) led the Titans with eight interceptions this season, including three he returned for touchdowns. He also was the City League's leading receiver, finishing the season with 58 catches for 1,061 yards. He scored 14 total touchdowns for the 11-2 Titans.

Norrils is the eighth member of UT's 2011 signing class.
