UT's Julius Brown named player of the week

University of Toledo freshman point guard Julius Brown has been named Mid-American Conference West division player of the week. Brown averaged 11 points, 6.5 assists and 3.5 rebounds in road wins over Ball State and Sam Houston State.

Brown scored 10 points and dished out five assists in UT’s 63-55 road win over Ball State on Wednesday and followed that up with 12 points, eight assists, six rebounds and a season-low one turnover in the Rockets’ 59-58 victory at Sam Houston State on Saturday.

In scheduling news, UT's March 3 home game against Eastern Michigan will start at 2 p.m.
