Toledo defeats Coastal Carolina 38-28

Terrence Owens passed for 290 yards including 3 touchdowns. He also rushed for another score in the game as the University of Toledo improved to 3-1 on the season with a 38-28 home win over Coastal Carolina.

THIRD QUARTER: The University of Toledo leads 31-21 entering the fourth quarter.

Terrance Owens (eight yards) and Cassius McDowell (six) scored rushing touchdowns for the Rockets after Coastal Carolina took the lead 21-17 on the opening drive of the half.

SECOND QUARTER: Coastal Carolina is putting a scare into Toledo, but the Rockets lead 17-14 at halftime.

Terrance Owens found Bernard Reedy for a 43-yard TD reception in the second quarter. The Chanticleers responded with a 25-yard TD reception by tight end Thomas Pauciello.

FIRST QUARTER: University of Toledo is up 10-7 on Coastal Carolina after the first quarter at the Glass Bowl.Former Cleveland Glenville teammates Terrance Owens and Cordale Scott hooked up for a 6-yard TD, marking the first career score for the fifth-year senior Scott.

Jeremiah Detmer is 1-for-2 on field goals, making from 26 yards but missing from 36.

The Chanticleers struck first, scoring on a 1-yard run by Jeremy Height to cap his team's first drive.
