Toledo recovered from a sluggish start to beat Central Michigan, 50-35, to move to 5-1 overall and 3-0 in the Mid-American Conference.

A 39-yard interception return for a touchdown by Mark Singer put the Rockets in front 40-28 with 9:38 to go. Singer jumped a third down route intended for Titus Davis.

Jeremiah Detmer's 40-yard field goal pushed the lead to 34-28 with 11:17 to go.

The game wasn't over until the Rockets scored on another interception, by Jermaine Robinson, on the first play of a CMU drive with 38 seconds to go.
