University of Toledo women's basketball player Andola Dortch was named Mid-American Conference West Division co-player of the week, the league announced today.
Dortch shared the award with Nathalie Fontaine of Ball State.
A junior from Akron, Dortch averaged 14.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 5.5 steals in two wins that helped the Rockets move into first place in the West last week. She had 15 points, a career-high eight steals, four rebounds and three assists in a win over Miami Wednesday, then added 13 points, eight boards, four assists and three steals in Sunday's win at Ball State.
