MT. PLEASANT, Mich. - The University of Toledo women's basketball team put together a late 16-0 run to punctuate a 76-63 win today at Central Michigan.
Naama Shafir led the Rockets (24-2, 12-1 Mid-American Conference) with 29 points, and Yolanda Richardson added 18 points on 9 of 10 shooting. Inma Zanoguera had 12 points, and Andola Dortch reached 1000 points in her career with 11 points.
It was UT's 12th straight win and gives the Rockets a two-game lead in the MAC over Central Michigan and Ball State.
UT, which trailed by 12 early in the second half, can clinch a share of the MAC title Thursday at Western Michigan (9-17, 5-8).
